One of my coaches once asked me, “How did you get where you are today?”
Without hesitation, I mentioned my parents, teachers, coaches, and a boss or two. I named just about everyone who came to mind.
The coach stopped me, looked at the group I was among, and asked, “Who is the only person Phil forgot to thank in his journey?”
The group answered in unison, “Phil!”
You are the captain of your journey. Don’t forget to acknowledge your hard work and growth!
